How Medicare’s Bulk Billing Changes Affect You
The Australian Government has announced new Medicare incentives to support bulk billing in general practice. We want to make these changes easy to understand and let you know what they mean for you and your family.

What is bulk billing?
Bulk billing means we bill Medicare directly for your appointment, so you pay nothing out of pocket.

From 1 November 2025, new incentives will allow clinics to bulk bill all Medicare-eligible patients, not just children or concession card holders.

These changes aim to:

• make GP care more affordable
  
• increase access to bulk billing
  
• support clinics like ours to stay sustainable.

What this means at Coolaroo Clinic
From November, Coolaroo Clinic will take up the new bulk billing option.
This means:

• No out-of-pocket costs for standard GP consultations.
  
• Same doctors, same personalised care.
  
• No change to how you book or attend appointments.
