Coolaroo Clinic was founded in 1989 by Dr John Hodgson and Dr Andrew Ramsay. Dr Dominic Yong then became a partner in 2000. Together they continue to own and operate the practice.
The clinic consists of general practitioners, medical specialists and ancillary allied health practitioners who complement each other and strive towards our objective of providing quality health care. This gives our patients a full range of services, conveniently in one location. Our doctors have many years of experience and come from a diverse range of skills in General Practice.
Our clinic is also well known for providing Occupational Health Care. Our services include Pre-Employment Medical Examinations, Work-Related Injury Management and Onsite Services to your workplace.
Coolaroo Clinic is a bulk billing medical clinic. Our Practice bulk bills all patients with a valid Medicare Card including:
✓ Centrelink Concession cards
✓ Veteran Affairs entitlement card
✓ Under the age of 16 years
Patients of our practice are able to access a doctor by telephone to discuss their clinical care. In non-urgent situations, patient calls need not interrupt consultations with other patients and a message is left with the doctor.
Most tests take a few days to be returned to the Doctor. It is standard practice that patients make an appointment to discuss their results with the Doctor in person. Our Doctors will not provide this service over the phone unless in cases of emergency.
Our clinic is recognised for its caring doctors and friendly staff. We pride ourselves on our excellent medical services, and are committed to providing you with the best quality care and level of satisfaction during your visit with us.
If you have any words of appreciation in praise of the care provided to you by the staff or Doctors of this clinic, or are dissatisfied in any way with the care of service delivery provided, we would encourage you to document your concerns and give the form to our reception staff. Communication with patients via electronic means will adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Privacy Act 1988 and any state-specific laws.
Patient information will only be sent via email where the patient has consented to this mode of direct communication however it is acknowledged by the practice that consent is implied if the patient initiates electronic communications with the practice.
We will endeavour to reply to any email within 24 hours. Email should not be used in an emergency.
There are risks associated with some methods of electronic communications and your privacy and confidentiality may be compromised. For more information on what this practice can communicate to you electronically, please speak with one of our team members.
Regular patients are able to obtain a visit from our Doctors in their home, nursing home or hospital, provided these are within a reasonable distance from the practice and it is for substantial medical reasons within opening hours.
For regular patients whose circumstances are deemed not safe and/or reasonable, the practice ensures that there is an alternate system of care that patients can access.

In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including legal demand costs.
