Dr. John Hodgson

Dr John Hodgson graduated from Monash University in 1978. Along with Dr Andrew Ramsay, Dr Hodgson founded Coolaroo Clinic in 1989. He has worked in Broadmeadows for over 30 years and is one of the founders of Coolaroo Clinic. Dr Hodgson has a special interest in helping patients cope with their overall health issues and the impact of their social circumstances on themselves and their families.
Dr. Andrew Ramsay
Dr Andrew Ramsay graduated from Melbourne University in 1973. Along with Dr John Hodgson, Dr Ramsay founded Coolaroo Clinic in 1989. Dr Ramsay has a special interest in Family Medicine and Minor Surgical Procedures including Skin Cancers and Vasectomies.
Dr Dominic Yong
MBBS, Master Occ Env Health, FAFOEM
Dr Dominic Yong graduated from The University of Melbourne and has qualified as a Specialist Occupational Physician. He has been providing Occupational Medical services at the Coolaroo Clinic for workers, employers and insurers over 20 years. Dr Yong is also the President Elect for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine (ANZSOM), a Presiding Member for the Medical Panels, and is accredited as an Independent Medical Examiner by WorkSafe. His special interests include undertaking specialist medical examinations and worksite assessments.
Dr Leanne Myers
Dr Leanne Myers graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990. Dr Myers has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 1995. Her special interests are Women’s Health, Implanon Insertion, Children’s Health and Mental Health. Dr Myers is also a Shared Care Doctor for antenatal care (Pregnancy care) for the Royal Womens Hospital, Mercy Womens Health, Sunshine Hospital & The Northern Hospital.
Dr Lilia Ilina
Dr Lilia Ilina graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995. Dr Ilina worked in the public hospital system for 3 years before joining the Monash University Department of Medicine in 1999. Dr Ilina has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2001. She is currently an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Ilina has a special interest in General Medicine, Children’s Health, Adolescence, Women’s Health, Travel Medicine, Anxiety and Depression. Dr Ilina is fluent in Chinese Mandarin.
Dr Jennifer Liang
Dr Jennifer Liang graduated from Sun Yat – Sen University. Dr Liang successfully completed her GP Fellowship when she came to Australia. Dr Liang has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2004. Dr Liang has special interests in Family Medicine, especially Geriatrics, Women’s Health & Children’s Health. Dr Liang is also a Shared Care Doctor for antenatal care (Pregnancy care) for the Royal Womens Hospital, Mercy Womens Health, Sunshine Hospital & The Northern Hospital. Dr Liang is fluent in Mandarin & Cantonese.
Dr Vivian Kedher
Dr Vivian Kedher graduated in Iraq in 1988. Dr Kedher has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2005. Dr Kedher has special interests in Women’s Health & Children’s Health. Dr Kedher is also a Shared Care Doctor for antenatal care (Pregnancy care) for the Royal Womens Hospital, Mercy Womens Health, Sunshine Hospital & The Northern Hospital. Dr Joe Slesenger qualified in Manchester UK. He worked for 15 years within the insurance field advising business on medical issues. Having moved to Australia in 2001, he qualified as a Specialist Occupational Physician. Dr Slesenger has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2005. Dr Ahmed Al-Talib
Dr Ahmed Al-Talib completed his medical degree in Iraq in 1985. Dr Al-Talib successfully completed his GP Fellowship when he came to Australia. Dr Al-Talib has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2012. Dr Al-Talib has special interests in Children’s Health Paediatrics and Minor Surgical Procedures. Dr Al-Talib is fluent in Arabic.
Dr Shaun Salimi
MBBS, Dip Occupational and Environmental Medicine, BMed Sci (Hon)
Dr Shaun Salimi has over 18 years experience in the field of Occupational Medicine. After completing his medical degree in Western Australia in 2001, he commenced working in the field of work-related injury management in the mining sector. He completed his graduate diploma in Occupational and Environmental Medicine in Melbourne (Monash University). His main interests are work and motor vehicle-related Injury management and return to work. He has treated thousands of workover patients in Victoria and Western Australia.
He completed a bachelor of medical science (research) with honors after completing his medical degree in Western Australia.
In 2012 Dr Salimi was a finalist for the WorkSafe Practitioner Return to Work Award in Victoria.
His main interests are Work-Related Injury Management, Return to Work and Fitness for Duty assessments.
Dr Salimi also gives presentations to general practitioners (through General Practice Victoria) about the benefits of early return to work and how to overcome barriers to return to work.
He has been a medical advisor for the Victorian WorkCover authority since 2007.
He has been a medical advisor for various organisations including Victoria Police, Department of Education, Toyota and various transport companies. He is an accredited rail medical examiner.
He is also an independent medical examiner (IME). He performs fitness for duty assessments and provides medicolegal reports.
Dr Salimi has been a key member of Coolaroo Clinic since 2013.
Dr Nataliya Lishchenko
Dr Nataliya Lishchenko obtained her primary medical degree in Dnipropetrovsk State Academy of Medicine in 2001 in the Ukraine. Dr Lishchenko has special interests in Women’s Health, Children’s Health, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Implanon/Mirena & Copper IUD’s, Contraception including Medical Abortions and Antiwrinkle Injectables. Dr Bili Wu
MBBS, BSc (Hons), DCH, FRACGP
Dr Bili Wu graduated from the University of Queensland. He completed his Hospital Resident and General Practice training in Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Dr Wu became a part of our team in 2019. Dr Wu has special interests in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine and Child Health. He is fluent in Mandarin.
Dr. Shehab Abdalla
Dr. Abdalla completes minimally invasive, minimal discomfort circumcisions & vasectomies under local anaesthetic. In fact, the only pain the patient feels is the small local anaesthetic needle he injects which some patients have described as a “sting”. Dr. Abdalla graduated from Medicine in 2014 and worked in the field of surgery for 3 years. He then decided to complete Specialist General Practice training. Whilst completing his fellowship he simultaneously completed 2 diplomas. A Diploma in Child Health as well as a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Abdalla has been fortunate to learn from the best to specialise in circumcisions and vasectomies.
